The role

You’ll work with the content marketing and web teams, reporting to the Content Manager, playing a pivotal role in helping shape and deliver the agency’s website content strategy offering for its clients.
The responsibilities
- Work as the content lead with an interdisciplinary team of UX, design, and development, collaborating with UX and digital designers to deliver compelling UX solutions for our clients.
- Help develop content strategy deliverables based on client business objectives and user needs, documenting content and research report summaries for web projects.
- Manage the end-to-end content workflow for website projects, applying user-centred content design.
- Conduct research on trending topics and keywords in order to identify focus content areas.
- Create and facilitate workshops with clients to identify/develop content requirements, sitemaps, future-state content inventories, editorial workflows, page tables, governance, gap analyses, and content mapping documentation.
- Enhance, edit and reformat legacy content, and identify new content for creation, in close collaboration with clients and copywriting teams.
- Create structured content for CMS implementers and be comfortable using CMS tools to upload and edit content.
- Help create taxonomies and metadata frameworks for grouping and tagging content.
- Apply visual and editorial style guidance consistently and diligently, demonstrating excellent attention to detail.
- Act as a subject matter expert on all website content strategies, establishing tools, guidelines and processes to help support upskilling internal teams on content design.
- Utilise project management tools such as Jira and Monday to manage workload and communicate project updates to team members.

- A strong understanding of content’s role in the digital design process, and know how to brief developers and copywriters.
- You champion accessibility and user-centred design and have experience in advising people on the best content design tools and methods, while balancing these against clients’ strategic requirements, taking a pragmatic approach to content presentation.
- Ability to create content that meets user needs and business objectives.
- Ability to use analytics data, user research and other evidence to improve content and make recommendations.
- Understanding of the interface and ability to brief and work closely with developers and copywriters.
- A strong understanding of SEO (search engine optimisation) and how this will affect the content you create.
- Ability to explain content best practices to non-experts in, for example, presentations, workshops and client meetings.
- Ability to build relationships and work closely with content owners or subject matter experts to make sure content is accurate and consistent.
- Ability to make complex content easy to understand using plain English ability to write and edit using a style guide.
- An avid follower of developments in content strategy as a discipline.
- Experience in working with tools such as Screaming Frog, Majestic, SEMrushand Google Search Console.
